We held a groundbreaking ceremony this morning for the new Keller-Baartman Bridge View Apartments!

Over the past few weeks, the old bank building has been demolished to make way for the new building. During that work, a time capsule from 1961 was discovered. Such an exciting find!

Inside were a July 1960 telephone directory, a newspaper, Zumbrota: The First One-Hundred Years book, coins, and a variety of letters.

KTTC News was on site this morning and will be running a story on tonight’s broadcast.

We are excited to see this project move forward and bring something new to the community while also getting a little unexpected look back at the past along the way.

🚰 The City has begun the Spring fire hydrant flushing today.
Work will take place on the west side of town this week, with the east side scheduled for next week.

Residents may experience temporary water discoloration or reduced pressure. If this occurs, run cold water until it clears.

We’re starting to prepare for upcoming elections and are looking for community members interested in serving as Election Judges! 🇺🇸

Election Judges play an important role in ensuring fair, smooth, and secure elections right here in our community. Duties may include checking in voters, assisting at polling stations, and helping with vote processing after the polls close.

The City of Zumbrota is looking for dependable individuals to join our Public Works Department for the summer season. This is a great opportunity for students or anyone looking to gain hands-on experience working outdoors while helping keep our community looking its best.

Duties may include mowing, park maintenance, general city upkeep, and assisting Public Works staff with a variety of projects throughout the summer.
