TRAFFIC ALERT:
Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is announcing railroad crossing paving on Route 68/West Main Street in Evans City, Butler County.

Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad will be paving the railroad crossing on June 25. Alternating lanes of traffic will be directed with flaggers 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM at the intersection of the railroad tracks with Route 68. Motorists should use alternate routes when possible. Delays will be likely in the work zone. Work is weather dependent.

ROAD CLOSURE:

Today, June 16, 2026, from approximately 2:00pm to 2:30pm, the Pennsylvania State Police will be closing the northbound on-ramp from Route 19 to Interstate 79.
This is the on-ramp that is just south of Tollgate School Road.
This may cause delays entering Zelienople using Route 19 northbound. Expect heavier than normal traffic during this time. PennDOT will have a crew in place at the on-ramp to handle this closure.
Please plan accordingly if you will be traveling through the area.

SR-19/Main Street bridge closure!

“There is no access southbound to cross the bridge”. “The mobile/temporary traffic signals that are in place are not for allowing an alternating flow of traffic to cross the bridge”. “Sitting and waiting at the signal will not activate it to change to a green light”. “Please utilize the posted detour to make your way around the closure”. “The Jackson Township Police Department will be monitoring the area regularly, and failing to obey posted signs and attempting to illegally cross the bridge southbound could result in enforcement action”.

***ATTENTION*** ROAD CLOSURE ANNOUCMENT

Starting May 20th. The southbound lane of the SR-19 (Perry Highway)/ North Main Street Bridge (Zelienople) will be closed to all traffic. The picture below is the “Detour Route.” Northbound will remain open throughout the project.

July 2nd through July 5th, both lanes will be temporarily open, and the southbound lanes will be closed again starting on July 6th.

This project is expected to end on August 21st.

This is going to cause considerable traffic-related issues during this timeframe. All vehicles in excess of 10 tons/20,000 pounds will be required to use the posted detour. This closure does not exempt them from the posted weight limits.
