This week’s regularly scheduled Zeigler City council meeting has been postponed until next Tuesday September 15th, 2026 at 7pm @ the Six Mile Township building on the Circle.

Please take note of the time change, due to the Six Mile Township meeting before the council meeting.

If you were unable to attend this week’s public meetings, you can still share your ideas!

The City of Zeigler is seeking public input on improvements you would like to see at our community park on Walnut Street. Please leave your ideas and suggestions in the comments below.

We are also seeking letters of support for the City’s OSLAD grant application. Letters may be emailed to [email protected] by the end of this weekend.

The City plans to submit the grant application this coming week. Thank you to everyone who has participated and shared input so far!

Training Burn Advisory

The City of Zeigler Fire Department will be conducting a controlled burn in the alley way of South Pine Street near State Highway 149 in Zeigler. We will be burning natural vegetation (limbs and wood) for a citizen between 6:30 pm and 8pm. Smoke may cause instances of low visibility at times, but state highway 149 will be open to traffic. Please use caution when traveling through the area.
