It is very important that you complete the senior survey in order to inform your counselor if you would like to schedule an individual meeting to review post-high plans and ask questions.

Seniors: Each year, the local chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) invites Zeeland East and Zeeland West to participate in the DAR Good Citizen Program and Scholarship Contest. This program is intended to encourage and reward seniors who possess the qualities of good citizenship: dependability, service, leadership, patriotism. If you are interested in being considered for this honor, please complete the form linked below. For the chance to win at least $500, students will be required to prepare a resume and write an essay. The deadline for consideration is noon on September 23.

Juniors interested in taking the fall PSAT/NMSQT on October 27 can register through the link below by Friday, 10/2 at 3:00 p.m. This is an OPTIONAL test to prepare for the SAT. It is also the qualifying test for National Merit Scholarship consideration. Cost is $20. The late test registration window runs from 10/2 to noon on 10/9 at a cost of $30. No registrations will be accepted after the late deadline.

Parents/Guardians of Seniors: Score report folders containing your child's Spring 2026 MME test results will be handed out to students during Advisory the week of 9/14. You will be able to view their scores for the SAT with Essay, M-Step Science, M-Step Social Studies, and the WIN Work Readiness assessments. To understand what these scores mean, please read this document.

Seniors: Are you planning to attend college next year but are overwhelmed at the prospect of starting your applications? Do the schools you are planning on applying to use the Common Application but it seems confusing? No worries! We are here to help! The counseling office will be hosting a Common App help session on Monday, September 21 during Advisory. Seniors will be able to get an overview of the Common App, create their own accounts, and get answers to some of the frequently asked questions that arise. If you are interested in attending, please complete the form linked below by noon on Friday, September 18.

The futurePREP'd Academy Program is open for enrollment! This program provides 9th-12th grade students with opportunities to learn about the professional world and complete an internship. Students will meet at a business location in West Michigan and will immerse themselves in the business with a team of other students from around Ottawa County to solve a real challenge that the business is facing. The program runs 2 days/week from approximately 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sep. 15 to Nov. 6 (16 total meetings) and students will need to provide their own transportation. Participants can earn 3 free transferable college credits. Interested students can register through the link below by Sep. 10.
