Lots of “lasts” this week, and this is a sweet one at Woodbridge.

Young Fives teacher Jill Van Eck and second grade teacher Shari Moore are soaking up their last-ever recess duty before retirement, surrounded by the kids who have made all those sunny, chilly, muddy, silly moments worth it.

Before the tools come out, our students learn the care that goes into the work.

With guidance from Mr. Vande Guchte and the Zeeland Township Fire Department, our students practiced vehicle extrication skills using donated vehicles from local towing companies, including stabilizing, breaking windows, opening doors, and removing a roof!

Thanks to an idea from Zeeland--Feel the Zeel Fire Captain Chad Lynema, Chix and Dux logos are now featured on the backs of all City of Zeeland fire trucks!

Thank you to the City of Zeeland and Zeeland Fire Department for carrying a little extra Chix and Dux pride wherever you go!

'Take Your Kid to Work Day' at Zeeland East and Zeeland West gave students a sweet glimpse of our staff as educators AND loving parents.

What a cool reminder that what we have at ZPS goes deep. The way our staff cares for kids and shows up for one another is part of what makes our schools feel like home.
