Final Words/Moving Forward:
First, we thank the firefighters, first responders, building owners, officials, and demolition team who made the minutes, hours, and days following the January 6 fire safe and keep moving to the next appropriate phase.
Secondly, we would like to thank everyone who was involved in fundraising efforts on our behalf in whatever way you helped. It mattered. You mattered. It was incredible to see the outpouring of support from our community. The Masonic Temple Tenants are thankful and appreciative of all the community financial support (and emotional support). As of March 9, our official group fundraisers and collection of donations is complete. Any fund raisers from this point forward are not supported by the Masonic Temple Tenants. Individuals might have personal fundraisers; however, anything listed as a Masonic Temple Tenants fundraiser or using the Masonic Temple Tenants name is not approved or supported by the tenants, as a whole. Furthermore, the Masonic Temple Tenants do not have a non profit listed with the state to fund raise/collect for business recovery funds, nor do we plan to create one. The community has been very kind during this time of tragedy. We sincerely, from the bottom of our hearts, appreciate all you have done for us.
We encourage you to remember the great times we had together in the building, the architecture, the history, your personal memories and stories from being in the Masonic Temple Zanesville, and continue to share those times. We look forward to making new memories with you as we integrate more into the community at large and giving back as you have given to us.
This page has been reverted to the day before the fire to act as a time capsule. It will remain up so the photos and memories remain, but will no longer be used/active.

To the Citizens of Zanesville,
Despite losing our beloved Masonic Temple to fire on January 6, 2022, The Lodge of Amity #5 Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio is standing strong. Founded in Zanesville in 1805, we have met continuously over the last 217 years. Our Lodge first met on the 4th floor of the Masonic Temple on June 26, 1903, and our last stated meeting was held there on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, just 22 days before the fire.
Though the fire may have taken our building and relics spanning the last 217 years, it did not take our spirit. The Lodge of Amity #5 would like for everyone to know that we are still here and will continue to be part of the Zanesville community. While we continue to recover from this loss and evaluate our future we will meet at LaFayette Lodge #79 located at 3867 Northpointe Drive, Zanesville. Our meetings will continue to be at 7:00 pm on the third Wednesday of each month.
