Muskingum County Board of DD Proudly serving people with disabilities in Muskingum County for over 50 years.

MCBDD provides services to individuals who have a developmental
disability through Early Intervention program (ages 0-2), Preschool (ages 3-5),
Schoolage (ages 6-21). Adult Services provides employment opportunities to
individuals in our sheltered workshop, transitional/enclaves and community
employment.

Starlight School offers an inclusive/blended Preschool Program where students with disabilities learn alongside peer partners without disabilities. The peer partners provide social and language modeling for students with disabilities.

Starlight School is accepting applications for school year 2026-2027 Preschool Partner Program. Peer partners must be at least 3 years of age and independent in self-care activities. The cost is $10.00 per day, which includes breakfast and lunch.

Partners attend Tuesday-Friday from 8:45am-3:10pm. For more information on the Preschool Partner Program or to find out how to enroll your child, please contact Starlight School at 740-455-4176.

This summer, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is sponsoring SUN Meals, a summer food program where Kids Eat Free! All children ages 1 through 18 are eligible to receive free meals during the summer months at participating program sites.

Join the MCBDD for a Paint Party tomorrow, Friday, May 29th from 1 to 3:30pm at the Community Services Building.

This event is for individuals served by the Board ages 13 and up. Guardian/parent/provider must stay for those under age 18.

All materials will be provided free of cost.

Support local Special Olympics athletes by cheering on the Law Enforcement Torch Run as it passes through Muskingum County TODAY! Athletes and law enforcement will arrive at the Muskingum County Courthouse at 1pm. The torch will continue to wind through the state escorted by law enforcement until it reaches its destination for the opening ceremonies of the Special Olympics Ohio Summer State Games on Friday. Muskingum County's delegation consists of 20 track and field athletes, 3 bocce teams and volunteer coaches and chaperones. The games will occur this weekend, May 29th to May 31st, at The Ohio State University.
