We so deeply value our friendship with the Muskingum County Library System! What started as a partnership has become so much more—barriers are being broken down, friendships are being made, and lives are being changed.

On the last Monday of every month, Monica and her crew visit Christ’s Table to share the gift of reading with those we serve. And we are seeing something beautiful happen right before our eyes.

People are picking up books. Conversations are happening. Curiosity is growing. And adults are taking brave steps toward literacy and learning.

Sometimes change begins with something as simple as opening a book.

We are grateful for our library friends who continue to meet people where they are, build relationships, and remind us that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream.

Thank you, Monica and Crew, for being part of the Christ’s Table family. Together, we are changing lives—one book, one friendship, and one brave step at a time.

The Ig Nobel Prize is a lighthearted prize that has been awarded annually since 1991 to promote public engagement with scientific research, aiming to "honor achievements that first make people laugh, and then make them think". Most awards are given to genuine scientific researchers who's work has an unorthodox or humorous slant, while others are given ironically to various politicians, media figures, or promoters of pseudoscience. The show involves running jokes, silly traditions, and a unique winners speech format that makes this ceremony a genuine delight to watch.
