City employees and public officers (such as Board or Commission members) are reminded that their contributions to social media sites may be considered government speech rather than private speech, and may be governed by Arizona and federal laws such as Arizona Open Meetings Law or federal elections and campaign laws. The use of a private e-mail address, non-City identifier, or non-City moniker alone will not change a City employee's or public officer's speech from government speech to private speech. Even posting a disclaimer in the contribution, such as stating "these comments reflect my own private opinion and do not, in any way, reflect the opinion of the City, "may not be sufficient to transform a City employee's or public officer's speech from government speech to private speech. Therefore, to the extent the social media contribution is government speech, all City employees and public officers are responsible for following the same rules, regulations, and policies that apply to any other form of government/City expression. On the first day of the Academy the Teen Cadets covered Introduction/ Expectations, learned about formation, Title 13, Laws of arrest, use of force. They toured the Police Department, then after lunch learned about Crime Scene Investigation!

LEVEL 3 S*X OFFENDER NOTIFICATION:
Yuma, AZ

The Yuma Police Department is notifying the community that Sanford Perranoski Saulsberry, 60, is now residing at 2100 W 1st Street, Yuma, Arizona 85364. He is described as a Black Male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 180 pounds, with Black hair and Brown eyes.

On August 8, 1984, Sanford Saulsberry had s*xual contact with a minor.

On November 30th, 1984, Saulsberry pled guilty to S*xual Conduct with a Minor in Yuma Superior Court.

On February 9th, 2009, Saulsberry was arrested for failing to register as a s*x offender and he pled guilty to Failure to Register as a S*x Offender on July 10, 2009.

On July 12th, 2012, Saulsberry was arrested for failing to carry identification and he pled guilty to Failure to Register as a S*x Offender on October 10th, 2012.

Sanford Saulsberry is a Level 3 s*x offender and is considered a, high risk to reoffend.

It has been reported to the Yuma Police Department that the convicted s*x offender in this notification is living in your area. Pursuant to Arizona Laws, we are releasing the information in this flyer, as it our belief that an informed community is a safer community. Abuse of this information to commit a crime against another person will result in prosecution. The Yuma PD has personal safety and neighborhood watch information and programs available.

Yuma, AZ

The Yuma Police Department is notifying the community that Walter Lee Jordan, 65, is now residing at 1947 S Maple Avenue #22, Yuma, Arizona 85364. He is described as a White Male, 6 feet tall, 295 pounds, with Brown hair and Green eyes.

On February 7th, 1984, Walter Jordan was arrested by Riverside County Sheriff’s Office on two counts of annoy? Molestation of a child.

On July 12th, 1984, Jordan pled No Contest to one misdemeanor charge of Annoy/ Molestation of a Child in Riverside Municipal Court.

Walter Jordan is a Level 2 s*x offender and is considered a, intermediate risk to reoffend.

It has been reported to the Yuma Police Department that the convicted s*x offender in this notification is living in your area. A 4 year-old female juvenile (pictured) was found today at 10:19 P.M at the ARCO located at 950 E 16th St.

She walked into the gas station by herself.

ARMED ROBBERY
Case: 2026-42721

On Sunday, June 21st, 2026, at approximately 3:58 AM, officers from the Yuma Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at Chevron, 500 E. 32nd Street.

The initial investigation showed that an adult male entered the Chevron, stated he had a gun, though one was not shown, and fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as Hispanic or Native American in their late 20s to early 30s, around 5’7” tall, and weighing about 250 pounds. He was wearing a black-and-tan baseball cap, a black shirt, gray shorts, and black sneakers.

This is an active investigation, and no suspects have been identified as of the time of this press release.

The Yuma Police Department encourages anyone with any information about this case to please call the Yuma Police Department at (928) 373-4700 or 78-Crime at (928) 782-7463 to remain anonymous. Remember, if your information leads to an arrest, you may receive up to a $1,000 cash reward.
