Happy Father’s Day from Rural Metro Fire! 🚒👨‍🚒❤️
Today we’re celebrating all the dads who answer the toughest calls — both at work and at home.
To our firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and dispatchers who spend long shifts away from their families: thank you for the sacrifices you make and for showing up when your community needs you. Your families share you with us, and we’re grateful.

A special shoutout to all the firefighter dads… the ones who can run into a burning building but still somehow can’t find the missing toy that’s “right in front of you.” 😄
To every dad teaching life lessons, fixing things that “should only take five minutes,” grilling like it’s a competitive sport, and making sure the kids know dad jokes are an essential life skill — today is your day.

On behalf of the United Yuma County Fire Association, IAFF Local 5414, we'd like to share a massive congratulations to these individuals. Today, they received a Code Save Pin, which is achieved by providing exceptional life-saving efforts and rapid intervention. There was a total of 17 individuals (5 not pictured) spread across all three shifts - A, B, and C. If you see them out and about getting snacks at the gas station or food at Taco Bell, give them a congratulations! 🎊🎉

Rural Metro Fire has had a busy week and we’re only half way through!

Incident #1: Monday June 15th at approximately 1207pm Rural Metro Fire Responded for report of a residential fire in the area of S Ave C and W Mars Dr caused by a lightning strike. Crews arrived on scene to find a single medium sized shed and several palm trees fully involved with exposures. Crews deployed multiple hose lines and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.

Incident #2: Tuesday June 16th at approximately 230pm Rural Metro Fire responded for report of a residential fire in the area of Ave B 1/2 and County 16 1/4 St. Crews arrived on scene to find three medium sized barns fully involved endangering animals and exposures. Crews quickly deployed hose lines and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Both fires were contained to the area of origin. Great job C and B crews!
