Good morning Yuma County Happy Wednesday 🐫

Well Yuma County… today is NOT a burn day because apparently the weather forgot it’s OCTOBER. We’re under an Extreme Heat Warning, because just when we thought the weather was finally going to get its life together… It got cold feet. 😂
Guess the weather has commitment issues—every time we think it’s ready for fall, it goes, “Let’s just see where this goes.” 🫠
Stay safe, stay hydrated, and take the heat seriously, Yuma County!💧

Good morning Yuma County Happy Monday ☕️

🔥 TODAY IS NOT A BURN DAY! 🔥🚫
Yuma doesn’t do tornadoes. But apparently the wind watched Twister and said: “Fine. I’ll do the whole movie myself.” The burn pile is sitting there like Dorothy’s house in The Wizard of Oz — wondering why the entire neighborhood is suddenly moving.Meanwhile, the wind is out here auditioning for Twister 2: Yuma Drift. And before anyone asks… NO, you cannot burn just because your pile has been staring at you all morning! Stay safe out there Yuma County!

Good morning Yuma County Happy Sunday! 🌬️

Ding-dong the burn pile is dead! We’re not in Kansas anymore… and we’re definitely NOT burning today. Today is NOT a burn day because the wind has apparently decided it’s time to recreate The Wizard of Oz.🌪️At this point, we’re just waiting for somebody to look outside and yell: “WE’RE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD!” 🧙‍♂️😂 Except instead of Dorothy’s house landing on the Wicked Witch, we’re pretty sure this wind is going to pick up your burn pile, your lawn chair, your trash can, and possibly your neighbor and drop them somewhere near Quartzsite. 💨😂
Stay safe out there Yuma County!

Good morning Yuma County Happy Saturday 🌬️

Today is NOT a burn day. Well… the weather has entered the chat, decided it wants revenge and is planning to take everything with it. It’s so windy…your trash can is packing a suitcase, your lawn chair just applied for a pilot’s license, the tumbleweeds are doing 60 in a 25, your hat is already in another ZIP code and if you wave at your neighbor, there’s a solid chance your wave lands in Nevada. Stay safe out there Yuma County!

Good morning Yuma County Happy Friyayyyy 🥳

🚫TODAY IS NOT A BURN DAY due to high winds!🚫

Well folks… the burn pile has officially been placed back on administrative leave. Apparently, it had gotten a little too comfortable thinking this whole “burning” thing was going to become a regular Friday activity.
So today, keep those matches, lighters, and “it’ll only take a minute” ideas put away. The burn pile can sit there and contemplate its life choices for another day. Stay safe Yuma County!

Good morning Yuma County Happy Wednesday 🐫

What a B-E-A-UTIFUL morning! Aside from Jim Carrey single handedly teaching people how to spell beautiful, today IS a burn day! The weather decided to behave today and stopped being dramatic. That burn pile has to green light to BURRRN BABY BURRRN… But remember nothing ruins a good burn day faster than your backyard turning into a Rural Metro group activity. Good morning Yuma County Happy Tuesday ☀️

AHHH THIS MORNING IS GLORIOUS… which means something had to ruin it… 💨We woke up this morning and Yuma actually looked pleasant. Cool air, beautiful skies, no surface-of-the-sun nonsense… honestly, we were getting suspicious. Then the wind showed up. Not because it was invited. Not because anybody asked for it. It just woke up angry and chose arson prevention as its personal mission. Today is NOT a burn day. Stay safe Yuma County!
