Child and Family Services of Yuma, Inc. Our mission is to nurture and care for the mental and emotional health of children and their families. Child & Family Services of Yuma, Inc.

We believe strong and healthy families are the strength of our community. is a non-profit agency that has been providing services in Yuma County since June 1979. Originally, our program started out as an inpatient program which provided supervision, food, and shelter. Our agency was formerly known as “Children’s Village.”

Our program has now evolved to provide a wide continuum of outpatient servi

ces for children with behavioral health problems and are experiencing problems with coping and everyday living skills. Our outpatient clinical services include: individual & family therapy, group therapy, family support, and direct support services in the community or in the home. Restoring family unity is our primary goal. We seek solution based approaches that focus on recovery for the entire family. By utilizing the Child Family Team process, we strive to improve the communication skills, and find solutions to issues that are inhibiting the stability of the child, all significant family members, and other key individuals involved in the child’s life. CFS coordinates care with many agencies. We also utilize a sliding fee scale for those who do not qualify for any of our funding sources. Our newest program, Right Turn for Yuma Veterans (RTYV), is a long-term (up to 24 months) transitional housing program for homeless veterans. Since its opening in 2014, RTYV has been providing up to six homeless, or at-risk of being homeless, veterans with not just a roof over their head, but the support system necessary to live independently within their community. With the Right Turn for Yuma Veterans Program, veterans identify and address the problems they must resolve in order to become an independent and contributing member of society once again.
