The Yuma Art Center will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

As we take time to honor this important day of reflection, history, and freedom, we wish our community a meaningful holiday.

Follow Parks and Recreation Director Eric Urfer and Cultural Affairs Manager Ana Padilla as they give us a look at the exciting art coming to East Mesa Community Park!

These unique benches are made from recycled wind turbine materials and will soon be transformed into one-of-a-kind art pieces through an upcoming call to artists.

That’s not all—murals and additional art installations will also help create a vibrant and creative space for the community.

Do you have a vision for the stage? We want to see it!

The Yuma Art Center is now accepting proposals for the 2027 Dinner Theatre Directing Fellowship. This unique opportunity gives one selected Fellow the chance to direct a full-length production as part of our annual Dinner Theatre season.

Whether you're an experienced director or submitting a proposal for the first time, we encourage you to apply. We’re looking for creative storytellers ready to bring their artistic vision to life and create an unforgettable theatrical experience for our community.

📝 Proposal Deadline: Friday, August 14, 2026, by 11:59 PM
🎉 Fellowship Notification: September 25, 2026
🎭 Fellowship Period: October 2026 – February 2027
🎟️ Show Dates: February 4–7 & 11–13, 2027
(Seven performances plus an invitation-only dress rehearsal)
