Today marked the kickoff of Election Worker Training for the 2026 General Election!
Thank you to all of our Election Workers for your continued dedication and commitment to Nassau County Elections. We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and care you give to serving our community.
A special thank you goes to all of our trainers who dedicate their time to training fellow Election Workers, reviewing materials, helping prepare training documents, and supporting our office throughout the election process. We truly appreciate everything you do!
One special tradition at Nassau County Elections is giving every Election Worker a special election lapel pin each election as a small token of our gratitude. You’ll notice that this election, a pink ribbon has been added to our pins.
We had the privilege of working alongside one of the kindest and most genuine people, Mrs. Dawn Hand, who passed away last year. Dawn served as an Election Worker and trainer with Nassau County for 20 years, and she holds a very special place in our office and in our hearts.
In remembrance of Dawn, our staff and Election Workers will proudly wear their pins with the pink ribbon throughout this election. It is a small way for us to honor her incredible dedication, the impact she made on so many of us, and the legacy she left with Nassau County Elections.
