A huge thank you to Chick-fil-A here in Yukon for helping support our Metro Fire Chiefs meeting this week! Your generosity and willingness to partner with us helped make this event a success, and we truly couldn’t have done it without your support!
We’d also like to give a big shout out to Walmart Neighborhood Market in Yukon for helping supply bottled water for both of our stations as we head into the summer months! Keeping our crews hydrated and ready to serve our community is so important, and your support makes a real difference!

Water, Smiles, and Fire Hoses—What a Weekend! 🚒
Last weekend, members of the Yukon Fire Department had an incredible time at the Yukon Parks & Recreation Festival of the Child! Our firefighters brought out the tanker truck and gave kids the chance to step up, grab the fire hose, and test their aim by spraying buoys out on the water!
It was an awesome day filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of splashing as we got to connect with so many families from our community! We had a fantastic turnout and loved seeing all the kids come out and take part in the fun!
A big thank you to Sergeant Southard, Corporal Goodrich, and Firefighter Cook for representing YFD and helping make this event such a success!
We always enjoy opportunities like this to connect with our community—we’re already looking forward to next year! ❤️

Today is International Firefighters’ Day! We wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible dedication, courage, and sacrifice of all the firefighters who serve our community! Firefighters put themselves in harm’s way to protect our homes, our families, and our city, often facing danger with unwavering bravery! Their service goes far beyond fighting fires! They are first responders, lifesavers, and a steady source of strength during some of life’s most difficult moments! To every firefighter: THANK YOU for your commitment, your resilience, and your sacrifice! Our cities are safer and stronger because of you, and we are deeply grateful for everything you do—today and every day!

Climbing for a Cause
Three of our firefighters recently took on an incredible challenge for a great cause by participating in the Fight for Air Climb benefiting the American Lung Association!
The event takes place at Leadership Square in downtown Oklahoma City and challenges participants to climb an impressive 1,445 steps to the top! Representing our department in this event were Battalion Chief Caleb McDoulett, Captain Kirk Dyche, and Corporal Brandon Jeter!
Firefighters understand the importance of lung health, and we are proud to see members of our department step up to support an organization that works every day to improve the lives of those affected by lung disease!
Please join us in recognizing Chief McDoulett, Captain Dyche, and Corporal Jeter for representing our department and community so well! Great job, gentlemen! 👏🚒

🚑 Enhancing Life-Saving Skills with New Monitors & Defibrillators 🚑
This week, the Yukon Fire Department conducted comprehensive training on our new monitors and defibrillators. Each shift participated in both hands-on learning and classroom instruction, ensuring every firefighter is confident in using this critical equipment!
Representatives were on hand to guide our teams on best practices and proper operation, helping us maximize the effectiveness of these life-saving tools! This training ensures that our department is fully prepared to provide the highest level of care when seconds matter most!
We’re proud our city allows us to invest in advanced equipment and training that strengthens our ability to serve and protect our community! 🔥
