Yesterday, one of our own was recognized at the Department of Public Safety Awards Luncheon for heroic actions displayed last year.

Sgt. Jacob Streeter and Trooper Austin Albrecht were involved in an incident where they saved the lives of fellow law enforcement officers.

During the event, Chief Corn presented Sgt. Streeter with the Yukon Police Medal of Valor, and Trooper Albrecht was honored as the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper of the Year for heroism.

We are incredibly proud of both of these individuals and grateful for their courage, professionalism, and commitment to protecting others.

Exciting progress is being made on the new Yukon Police Training Center.

While the walls are going up, we’re reflecting on the legacy of our existing fi****ms range. For over 20 years, this facility has been a cornerstone for:

• Law Enforcement Agencies
• Fire Departments
• The Oklahoma National Guard

By providing a dedicated space to sharpen skills and enhance tactical capabilities. We can't wait to see how the new training center will expand on this mission and serve the next generation of first responders.

Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the finish line! 🇺🇸

Today, officers used our drone to assist in locating a missing 6-year-old Yukon child.

The drone allowed us to quickly cover more area during the search. Thankfully, the child was found safe after briefly hiding inside the home.

This is a great example of how we use technology to respond quickly and safely when it matters most.

Last month, Officer Gordon joined a student volunteer from Yukon Middle School in the Special Olympics Oklahoma Polar Plunge.

The event helps raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes across Oklahoma. It was a great cause and as you can see from the photos, a lot of fun despite the cold water! 🥶💙
