Yucca Fire District The objective of the Yucca Fire District is to provide a cost effective community orientated department.

The Yucca Fire District is dedicated to providing superior emergency services to the residence of the Yucca Fire District and surrounding communities in their times of need. We provide fire prevention, education and 1st response BLS level medical services within our community. Yucca firefighter volunteers are dedicated and train diligently to ensure the highest standards for prompt and professional service.

MISSING 11-YEAR-OLD: (5/16/24, 7 pm) Bullhead City Police are actively searching for a missing child who ran away from her mother after a disagreement.
At approximately 5:30 pm, Alexandria Querta, age 11, was last seen in the desert area between Lee Ave and the Airport. She was wearing a blue shirt with dolls on it, black sweatpants and red crocs. If anyone has any information on her whereabouts, please contact BHCPD at (928)763-1999.

UPDATE 3/13/24- Nicholas Volk has been apprehendedand charged with 2nd Degre Murder for his involvement in the March 3rd homicide.

HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION- KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Sunday (3/3). At approximately 11:28 AM, Deputies responded to the 3100 block of Butler Ave. in reference to a female victim with a gunshot wound. Deputies arrived on scene and observed that the female victim, identified as Marie Ann Noelani Garcia (30 of Kingman) was deceased. Detectives were called to assume the investigation.

Detectives have identified Nicholas Ray Volk, 32 of Kingman, as the suspect in this incident. The investigation revealed that Volk left the scene in a tan Jeep, which has been located. Volk should be considered armed and dangerous. We are asking for anyone with information on the whereabouts of Nicholas Volk to contact the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at 928-753-0753 or call our toll-free number at 1-800-522-4312 and reference DR # 24-008044.

UPDATE 3/7/24- Mohave Silent Witness has offered a reward of $1,500.00 for information leading to the arrest of Nicholas Ray Volk for his involvement in the homicide that occurred in Kingman on March 3, 2024.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service will be conducting a large controlled burn on The Colorado River, North of Lake Havasu, near Castle Rock and the Crystal Beach community. Heavy smoke will be seen from the area.

Heavy smoke will be seen from the area. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Division of Boating Safety Personnel will be in the area during the controlled burn. Please avoid the area if possible.
