PG&E is forecasting a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) affecting areas near the Sutter Buttes from Wednesday, June 10 at 8:15 AM through Thursday, June 11 at 4:00 PM.

Prepare now by charging devices, reviewing backup power plans, and planning for medical equipment and refrigerated medications.

A Community Resource Center will be open 8 AM–10 PM Wednesday and Thursday at the Sutter Youth Organization, 7740 Butte House Road, Sutter. The CRC will provide device charging, water, air-conditioned space, and information.

On Saturday, June 6th, Sutter County employee email addresses will change from .sutter.ca.us to .gov.

The .gov designation is reserved exclusively for government organizations, which makes it easier to recognize official County communications while providing additional security protections against fraudulent websites and emails.

Moving forward, look for .gov in future email communications from Sutter County.

ROAD WORK UPDATE 🚧

Sutter County Development Services is currently performing annual grading work on approximately one mile of Sacramento Avenue within the Sutter Bypass.

The roadway is temporarily closed in order for our crew to complete the work safely and is expected to reopen by the end of the day. Motorists who utilize this route are asked to use an alternate roadway until work is completed.

Temporary Early Closures Due to HVAC System Damage

Due to vandalism of the library’s HVAC system, the building may close early when indoor temperatures reach unsafe levels for patrons and staff.

This is a temporary situation; however, we do not currently have an estimated timeframe for repairs or full restoration of the system.
