This page is used to publish news and information involving the SCSO in our daily activities, emergency incidents, disasters, and allows us to share with the public when there are public safety concerns such as missing persons and details of wanted alleged criminals in Siskiyou County. We welcome discussion and questions, and seek to maintain an environment that is civil and appropriate for all ages. However, in order to protect the accuracy and integrity of the information posted on this page and of content attributable to SCSO and its employees--mindful that our community members rely on this information to be truthful, accurate, and complete--posts and comments containing any of the following forms of content or language are not allowed and may be deleted. • Comments that contain threats to any person or organization.
• Comments that defame anyone or any organization.
• Comments that promotes, fosters or perpetuates discrimination on any legally protected category including
race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, s*x, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition,
s*xual orientation, marital status, gender identity, gender expression, genetic characteristics or information,
military and veteran’s status, or any other category protected by federal or state law, including association with
individuals with these protected characteristics or perception that an individual has one or more of these
protected characteristics.
• Comments that contain any commercial solicitations (e.g. asking users to "like" your page or visit
your website).
• Comments that contain advertisements, prize contests or giveaways. This includes promotion or endorsement
of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency.
• Comments that contain details about an ongoing investigation or legal or administrative proceeding that
could interfere with the processes or could infringe on an individual's rights.
• Comments that contain copyrighted or trademarked images or graphics.
• Comments that contains content in support of, or in opposition to, any political campaign or ballot measure.
• Posts that contain documents of any kind.
• Comments that contain personnel lists, rosters, organization charts or directories. Comments that violate this policy may be removed from the page.
