Aw. Gee. I love my city and all our fans!
February 3 marks the birthday of one of Ypsilanti’s most iconic landmarks Ypsilanti Water Tower. Completed on February 3rd, 1890 in the Queen Anne Revival style, the Ypsilanti Water Tower once held 250,000 gallons of water, stands nearly 148 feet tall, and helped deliver clean water across the city. 135 years later, it remains a defining part of the skyline and a beloved symbol of Washtenaw County history. Quirky, full of character, and deeply rooted in local community. Sounds familiar.
