This breaks our heart to write. We have learned that Patricia Harris, Project 83 organizer and dear friend of our chapter, has passed away.

When returning home from an event on January 8, Harris suffered a medical emergency, resulting in a single-vehicle accident. She was transported to a local hospital, where she passed away.

“Patricia Harris was a devoted Democratic organizer. One of the most enthusiastic and most kind individuals I have had the pleasure of knowing. She always went above and beyond. I deeply value having known her and having worked with her, and I will dearly miss her.”

The same group of students that organized Thursday’s ‘March Against R**e and Sexual Assault On Campus’ are organizing another demonstration this Sunday at 5pm outside the Pease Auditorium.

We thought it important for us to spread the word about their demonstration.
