Nestled in the heart of the Napa Valley among vineyards between the Mayacamas Mountains and the Napa River, the Town of Yountville, in Northern California is a community that cares about its citizens, businesses and visitors. Yountville offers a variety of well maintained neighborhood parks that include outdoor recreational amenities including bocce, volleyball, tennis, basketball courts, children's play equipment and reservable picnic areas. Yountville is a great place to eat and shop, and it is host to a variety of exciting events throughout the year. You'll find the Napa Valley Museum and Lincoln Theater; there is lots of history to learn about if you take the walking tour of hospital buildings and landmarks, or just relax on the outdoor patio of one of many great restaurants and watch brightly-colored hot air balloons take flight.

Did you know? Yountville’s Golden Ticket program is celebrating 10 years!

The program began in 2016 with a simple idea: give adults ages 50 and older an affordable way to stay active, connected, and engaged in the community.

This fall, 210 Golden Ticket members are signed up for 535 class and program registrations across 27 different offerings.

Over the past decade, the number of classes offered has doubled, and participation has tripled.

From fitness and recreation to social connection and lifelong learning, Golden Ticket has grown into one of Yountville’s most popular adult programs.

Making progress underground!

Work continues on Yountville’s Recycled Water Line Project, and crews have reached an important milestone. The pilot hole for the horizontal directional boring is complete, creating the underground route for the new recycled water line.

Crews are now widening that path, with plans to begin pulling the new pipe through next week.

Even better, the project remains ahead of schedule and is currently on track to wrap up before the October 5 estimated completion date.

We’ll keep you posted as the new line makes its way underground!

A quick update for Yountville Community Park visitors:

During a routine weekly playground inspection, Town staff identified a potential safety concern with the platforms on one of the play structures. The platforms have been removed while staff works on a repair or replacement.

The rest of the playground remains available for use.

Regular inspections like these are an important part of keeping our parks and recreation facilities safe and well maintained. We’ll share another update when the platforms are ready to return.

Yountville came together this morning to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, at the Yountville 9/11 Memorial.

We paused to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the first responders and service members whose courage and sacrifice followed that day, and reflect on a moment that forever changed our nation. The Napa County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard presented the colors, and a special American flag bearing the names of the victims of September 11 was displayed at the memorial.

We were honored to hear from Luca Moretti, representing Congressman Mike Thompson, who read a letter from the Congressman commemorating the 25th anniversary; Napa County Supervisor Anne Cottrell; Mayor Margie Mohler; Napa County/CAL FIRE Battalion Chief Nate Deurloo; and Lieutenant Colonel Christopher D. Morisoli.

This year’s ceremony also included the dedication of a new plaque at the memorial, made possible through contributions from John Dunbar, Gary Jabara, Sean Larkin, and Joe Tagliaboschi, with support from the Town of Yountville.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this morning’s remembrance and helped make the commemoration meaningful.
