We had a rewarding and successful litter sweep day in Youngsville. It was not only a great way to beautify our town but also an opportunity to spend quality time with each other, scores of us, building community.

I was honored to attend this banquet and spend more time with these amazing people that protect us day in and day out. Youngsville is a great place to be, and our fire and police departments are a huge reason why.

Tonight we had the honor of attending the annual awards banquet celebrating our amazing Youngsville Police Department and Youngsville Fire Dept.

The Town of Youngsville and the citizens of Franklin County are fortunate to have these brave Men and Women who serve our community. I always enjoy hearing their stories or comradery and bravery.

I had a great time checking in with the fine people from the Youngsville Fire Department. I’ve been getting to know them much better in my role as town liaison to the department. And I got a chance to refresh my CPR skills. Here I am with my EXPERT instructor, Kyle Bolton, proud member of the Youngsville Volunteer Fire Department.

Down Home North Carolina is a 501-C4 non-profit organization founded on the belief that small towns and rural areas cannot be ignored if we want to see impactful change for working-class people at the state and national level. Through organizing, leadership development, multiracial movement building, and civic engagement, we work to build permanent local infrastructures that amplify the voices and power of rural working people and the issues that affect us the most. Down Home organizes in rural counties across the state, with chapters from the mountains to the coast.
