🔥 It's a little dry outside right now. Please exercise caution when burning this weekend.

👩‍🚒 Your YFD ran a few fires today that caused structural damage and brush/grass fires. While there is no burn ban in place, with how dry it is, please exercise caution. Several of our neighboring FD's also had fires today.

🚨Incident Notification- Avoid the area of Hicks Road and Bert Winston Road as your YFD works a house fire incident. In addition to your YFD, fire units from Franklinton and Wake Forest have responded.

3pm Update (Final)- Fire is under control. The YFD will be remaining on scene for an extended time so please use caution in the area for the next hour.

Final Update at 4:15pm: Fire & EMS have cleared the scene and the roadway has reopened.

⚠️Your YFD is currently on scene of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Cedar Creek Road near Gooseberry Lane (near the bridge before Franklinton High School). The roadway is shut down. Please avoid the area.

❗️1pm Update: Roadway remains closed. Please avoid the area. Engine Co. 141, Rescue Co. 45, and Battalion Chief 4 remain on scene with multiple Franklin County EMS units.

⚠️Avoid the area of Tarboro Road at Cedar Creek Road. Your YFD is on scene of a motor vehicle collision. The roadway is shut down as of 12:30pm.
