Meals on Wheels of Mahoning County has four part-time employees, about 40 volunteer drivers, and delivers an average of 400 meals a week. Meals on Wheels is a program that has been serving the Youngstown area since 1979. Our funding comes from a variety of sources such as private donations, grants, etc., but primarily from the fees for the meals served. Meals are served Monday through Friday and m

ost clients receive their meal before noon. Meals are delivered hot, are well-balanced, and nutritious. The director works with the clients to ensure all health restrictions are met. Meals on Wheels delivers food to multiple areas of the city and county. To receive this service one does not have to meet any standards. We provide service to all ages, handicapped, homebound, anyone in need of a daily meal.
