Cricket, a fearful dog got away from her foster to adopt family!

A drone company was called out Tuesday and was able to pinpoint her general location using an AirTag, then visually locate her via drone. We were called to assit in setting a trap. When Sarah arrived, there was no exact pin location available for her. Luckily, Sarah has been absolutely crushing it with her drone skills lately and was able to locate Cricket without relying on the AirTag or drone pin. We placed a trap, camera, and food.

Cricket never showed.

The next day, the AirTag shown she had moved across the road. We searched the woods for about 2 hours and nothing. Sarah & others werent convinced she crossed.

Sarah's instincts told her to search the original area again. Despite poor thermal conditions, looking from all angles she spotted a tiny heat source in the grass. Zoomed in, it looked like a piece of trash.

Then one of the volunteers said, "Wait! Purple! She has a purple collar on!"

A second later, the object moved. Her body was covered in grass and only her head and tail were visible.

It was Cricket.

She was hidden in the tall grass, with only her head and tail visible.

We sent out Cricket's favorite person along with her best friend, Scrubby. The rest is history!

She is safe ❤️

Remember Bonnie?

This beautiful girl spent over a week on the run in Minerva, staying just out of reach and avoiding everyone. After a lot of patience, teamwork, and determination, we were finally able to safely trap her. And now... look at her! ❤️

Bonnie is a 1.5-year-old Belgian Malinois with a heart of gold and so much love to give.

Thanks to her amazing foster family, Corey McCrae and Macy Kittelberger and the training she's received from McCrae9 Dog Training , Bonnie has truly blossomed into an incredible companion.

🐕 Good with other dogs
🥏 Loves playing frisbee and has an impressive drive for it
🛋️ Enjoys cuddling up and relaxing with her people at the end of the day
❤️ Sweet, affectionate, and eager to bond

Bonnie currently lives with five dogs of varying personalities and does wonderfully with them. As with any adoption, a meet-and-greet is required with other pets and children to ensure the best fit for everyone.

Watching Bonnie transform from a scared, homeless dog into the happy, confident girl she is today has been incredible. Now all she needs is a family to call her own.

We had to- when Sarah Jean phone rings and its Police dispatch. She gets a little giddy! 🤣

We Need Help! 🥹

We currently have 16 cats/ kittens needing full veterinary care at an estimated $90 per cat/kitten. ⚕️
Several of these kittens are sick and will be starting antibiotics today. 🤒

These babies were abandoned and left to survive on their own. Between recent veterinary bills, ongoing TNR efforts, and the animals already in our care, we are feeling the strain.

The cats and kittens pictured are not all of them, we are still actively trapping and working to bring the rest to safety.

Boardman, OH 🐾

Sarah’s getting there with the drone footage! This sweet boy decided to go on an adventure after his brother made it back home… but he didn’t.

With heavy rain coming down, Sarah flew several drone batteries but couldn’t locate him. She told the owner to call immediately with any sightings, but planned to head back out later regardless.

Not long after, Sarah received a sighting call and was on scene within a minute. The owner attempted to recover him, but he got scared and ran. We kept eyes on him while advising the owner to go home and get their other dog — and thankfully, it worked out perfectly. ❤️

Great teamwork by everyone involved! Another dog safe and back home where he belongs. 🐾

Sarah has been working tirelessly to trap this sweet soul. We arent sure where he came from, but what we do know is, hes injured, tired, scared and needs saved. 🙏

Wish us luck as Sarah is spending her evenings and days in Lisbon, away from her animals and family to make sure this guy gets to saftey. ❤️

Today, we were faced with two unexpected vet bills. 🐾

A fellow rescuer had a scheduled appointment at Lemony Snippet's Spay And Neuter Clinic to get Graham Cracker, her foster dog, neutered and updated on his vaccines. She was planning to cover the costs out of her own pocket, even though it would have put her in a financial bind. We offered to step in and cover the bill for her. ❤️

We also came across an anonymous post from a local resident asking for advice in a Facebook group. We reached out and asked her to message us to see if we could help. Their sweet boy, Nigel, is older, and the surgery he would need is estimated to cost between $5,000–$7,000. Due to his age, his owner made the difficult decision to keep him comfortable with medication for as long as possible.

Without your support, we would not have been able to help either of these dogs today, and one of them would have continued suffering while waiting to be seen by a vet.

Now, we need to recoup those funds so we can continue helping animals in need. 🐶🐾
