Eastgate Regional Council of Governments

Eastgate Regional Council of Governments Eastgate Regional Council of Governments is directly responsible for a variety of federal, state, and local planning and project implementation programs.

The Eastgate Regional Council of Governments is a voluntary association of local governments in northeast Ohio. Our members include Ashtabula County, Mahoning County, Trumbull County, and all cities, villages, and townships in the counties. Although our members are unique, they share many common interests. Eastgate brings them together to create a unified voice in areas such as transportation, water and air quality, land use planning, and local infrastructure projects.

The City of Niles has recently added new safety improvements to the new on-street bike connection to link the Niles Greenway Bike Trail to the Warren Greenway Bike Trail. The on-street bike connection includes: Williams Street SE, N Chestnut Avenue, Smith Street, Hunter Avenue and Warren Avenue.

This project features pavement "bike sharrows" (shared-lane markings) and "share the road" signage. Before you check out the new installation, we want to hear from you about how you currently use these roads and what concerns or priorities you have.
