This tiny little girl is Polly Pocket! She suffered malnourishment and neglect at the hands of her owner. She was anemic, heart worm positive and full of hookworms as well. Friends Of Fido MCDP saw to it that she received immediate care and is covering her heart worm treatment. This is costly but is imperative in order to save her life.

Polly represents the second level sponsorship for the Friends of Fido Birthday Party. They have been helping our dogs for 15 years!

Do you all remember Rosebud? She was found back in February on a freezing cold day. She had been put out in her crate with the trash at the curb. Her crate was full of f***s and urine and she was covered in that as well.

This little lady was so frail and so emaciated. We were in disbelief that she was still alive.

Thanks to Friends Of Fido MCDP and their generous and faithful supporters, Rosebud spent many days at the vet receiving very special care. Because of them she had a second chance.

Friends of Fido was started 15 years ago by volunteers at our pound. There was no one taking care of broken bones and seriously ill dogs at the Mahoning County Dog Warden back then. The volunteers looked for rescues and shelters to take these specific dogs but the need became greater and greater. They took matters into their own hands and spent their own money on vet bills until Friends of Fido was created.

Please join us and them for this 15 Year Birthday Celebration on October 23rd!

Dogs like Rosebud have beautiful lives thanks to FOF and the wonderful rescues who find foster homes for them! It takes a village. Please join and help our dogs in need!
