Today, Mahoning County Commissioner Anthony Traficanti joined residents, veterans, first responders and students at the Austintown 9/11 Memorial Park for a ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Commissioner Traficanti spoke during the ceremony as the community gathered to remember the lives lost, recognize the first responders who ran toward danger and honor the service members who answered our nation’s call.
Twenty-five years later, we remain committed to preserving their memory and ensuring future generations understand the courage, sacrifice and unity shown in the days that followed.
We will never forget.
