Mahoning County Auditor's Office Our office is open 8:00am-4:30pm daily. We process deed transfers from 8:00am-3:00pm daily.

Chief Fiscal Officer Duties of County Auditors:
Accounts Receivable
Accounts Payable
Licensing – dog, kennel, vendor and cigarette
County-wide Payroll
Distributes license fees, gasoline taxes, fines and local government funds, real property taxes and manufactured home taxes
Prepare the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)

Tax Assessor Duties of County Auditors:
Maintain detailed record on

all land, buildings and manufactured homes in Mahoning County
Appraise each parcel in Mahoning County
Calculate tax rates in accordance with the Ohio Department of Taxation
Transfer real property and manufactured home ownership
Administer property tax reductions and exemptions
Oversees the Mahoning County Geographic Information Systems

Weights and Measures Duties of County Auditors:
Inspect and test weighing and measuring devices such as gas pumps, deli scales, vehicle scales, etc. Perform package checking tests for weight accuracy

Tax Incentive Review Council
Record Retention Commission

Fourteen County Auditors, including three of our friends from the NW District, were in attendance on Friday March 13th. Ron O’Leary also provided a BOR update. Deputies from other counties were also there. By their count, 150 school treasurers were in attendance. It was a good exchange of information.

CAAO’s Northeast District, in partnership with the Ohio Association of School Business Officials, hosted a joint meeting in Stark County this morning. The meeting brought together County Auditors and School Treasurers from Northeast Ohio for timely discussion of school funding and the impact of the five property tax bills passed in November.

Thursday December 25th, office will be closed for the day
Friday December 26th, normal business hours with deed transfers until 3:00pm

Wednesday December 31st, normal business hours with deed transfers until 3:00pm
Thursday January 1st, office will be closed for the day
Friday January 2nd, normal business hours with deed transfers until 3:00pm
