Good morning, racers, from the American Legion Marne Post 13! Today at 9:30am kicks off the Charity 5k run/walk/ruck benefiting the family of USMC veteran, Cole Bircher. All raised funds support his wife and newborn son.

Whether running or coming for the live band and food trucks, we hope to see you all today!

⛈️ City of Aurora Activates Temporary Storm Shelter At Aurora Transportation Center

The City of Aurora will be opening the Aurora Transportation Center, located at 233 N. Broadway, from 2:30 P.M. to 7 P.M. to serve as a temporary shelter from the severe weather scheduled to hit the area.

According to the National Weather Service, severe storms are expected to come to Aurora between 3 P.M. and 7 P.M., featuring a strong threat of damaging winds, hail, localized flooding, and isolated tornadoes.

Residents are encouraged to have multiple ways to receive weather warnings, and, when possible, take shelter to avoid the severe weather.

Additional severe storms are expected tomorrow. The set-up tomorrow looks more concerning than today, and may support intense storms capable of producing tornadoes, destructive winds, destructive hail, and flash flooding.
