It was awesome to see the great turnout at the Boulder Hill Neighborhood Picnic this past weekend. It was a great opportunity to talk with Boulder Hill residents and share some delicious food. Thank you to everyone who attended, and to everyone who organized and supported this event to make it such a great success.

Thank you!

We're back with our second installment of Proud to Serve with Deputy Stewart Blouin and his comfort dog Snow. Why did they choose a career in law enforcement? What keeps them motivated? And what makes them proud to serve the Kendall County community?

In our Proud to Serve video series, we sit down with members of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office to hear their stories, learn what inspired them to serve, and discover what makes this career so meaningful to them.

Behind every badge is a person with a story - and we're proud to share theirs.

Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and the 2,977 innocent lives lost that day.

Twenty-five years ago, first responders ran toward unimaginable danger to try to save lives. More than 400 firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, and other first responders made the ultimate sacrifice while answering the call to help those in need.

On this National Day of Remembrance, we honor all those who lost their lives on September 11, as well as the many first responders and others who have since passed away from illnesses linked to the attacks.

Their courage, selflessness, and sacrifice continue to inspire us. We remember their lives, we honor their service, and we will never forget.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Announces Results of Labor Day Safety Campaign

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office conducted an impaired driving enforcement campaign over Labor Day weekend. This traffic safety campaign was conducted by the Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois.

The campaign resulted in 1 DUI arrest, 1 warrant arrest, 1 driving with no valid license, 10 speeding citations, 4 seat belt violations, 2 unlawful use of electronic communications device citations, 3 uninsured motorist citations, and 6 other citations.

“Through the Labor Day safety campaign, we worked with law enforcement agencies across the state to make our roads safer by raising awareness about the dangers of impaired driving and reminding motorists that impaired driving is not a game; it’s a serious decision with potentially life-changing consequences,” said Undersheriff Bobby Richardson.

This effort was part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Drive High. Get a DUI,” and “Click It or Ticket” initiatives, funded by federal highway safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Last month, we had an opportunity to visit the Oswego Senior Center to play a few spirited games of chair volleyball. We had a great time getting to meet the group, and chair volleyball is a lot of fun. Even K9 Snow got in on the action... Although the scores didn't go our way, we had a blast, and we'll be practicing for the rematch! After volleyball, we sat down and enjoyed lunch with everyone.

Thank you again; we had a great time.
