We are always accepting applications for firefighters, EMTs and social members that live within our district. This means that we depend on people just like you to help the community by giving their time to respond to calls for help and to train for those calls. The members of the Yorkville Fire & Hose Co. are your friends, neighbors and even co-workers. We are everyday people who live in this comm

unity and want to help when you need it most. Please feel free to stop by the station on the first Monday of the month to inquire or call the station to make an appointment with a line officer to meet and discuss the volunteer opportunities the Yorkville Volunteer Fire Department has for you. We are always in need of people just like you to give their time and effort to provide the many services that we offer to the community. The road is not always easy, but the reward of helping others is well worth the journey.

Congratulations to Chief Bill Owen!

Congratulations to Chief William K. Owen III, Stittville Fire Department (Oneida County), who was installed today as president of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs during the 120th Annual Conference & Expo in Syracuse. Bill follows in the footsteps of his father, the late William K. Owen Jr., who led NYSAFC as president from 2008-2009.

This morning, members of our department and Whitesboro FD attended the Stair Climb in Syracuse. Capt. Ali Morosco-Davis was asked by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to speak at the opening ceremony about their experience with the foundation after the passing of Chief Nick Morosco and the national honors that he recieved. Our department was honored to be there. We met alot of wonderful people and also enjoyed walking around the expo!

This evening, Captain Ali Morosco-Davis presented the Chief Nicholas Morosco Memorial Scholarship to two graduating seniors from Whitesboro High School who currently serve their community. This year's recipients are Joe Bartholomeo from the New York Mills Fire Department and Jean Orozco from Maynard Fire Department. Our department sends our congratulations to the recipients and wishes them the best of luck!

Thank you to our AMAZING TEAM who showed up after working all day to handle our Fund Drive detail. Crews made it to every door step in our district in less than 2 hours!!!! We appreciate each and every one of you!!!!

We’re fortunate to have members who are willing to step up and invest in the future of the fire service. A big thank you to Frank Hoyt for the time and commitment he’s dedicated recently to training and completing EVOC and Interior Fire Operations classes. His willingness to help the fire department grow does not gone unnoticed. We appreciate his time, dedication and effort these past couple months. Congratulations!
