The Friends of the Library's annual book sale is coming! Save the dates and get ready to score the best deals on books, movies, music CDs and more for ALL AGES.

Friday night is our "presale" for members only (new members can join at the door that night, AND get 2 free books!);

Sat. and Sun. will have bake sales and raffle tickets for our 50/50 and special iPad gift basket.

Monday we save the best for last— $5 for a bag of books!

THANK YOU Claire, a Girl Scout who is organizing this amazing "Books and Buddies" service for the library as part of her Silver Award project. Once the project is completed, library cardholders will be able to check out 1 American Girl Doll along with the matching book, and 1 accessory kit for a week at a time.

We're hoping to launch the new service later this month, so keep your eyes peeled for a follow-up announcement. Until then, if you have an American Girl doll and/or accessories that you'd like to donate toward the project, you can bring them to the Children's room of the library to be added to the new collection.

Two for Tuesday - we've got 2 wildlife programs this month; one with the Wolf Conservation Center, and one with a local beekeeper!

Join us on Tuesday 9/15 to celebrate America's biodiversity with a presentation on our nation's flora and fauna species. Separate sessions for children and adults are available.

Then come back on Saturday, 9/18 to learn just how helpful bees are, and how we can help them in continuing their work. You'll also get a first-hand look at some beekeeping tools, as well as an unoccupied hive box and a sealed frame of live honeybees! This program is open to all ages.
