Today, the York Alumnae Chapter proudly commemorates Juneteenth—a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the enduring strength of the Black community.

As we honor June 19, 1865, we reflect on the sacrifices of those who came before us and celebrate the rich history, culture, and achievements of Black Americans. While freedom was delayed, the spirit of our people remained unwavering.

May we continue to educate, uplift, and empower future generations while remaining committed to the pursuit of equity, justice, and opportunity for all.

We closed out the weekend with purpose through our Community Breakfast Service Project 🍽️❤️

Serving our community remains at the heart of everything we do, and this morning was a powerful reminder of the impact of showing up with love, consistency, and intention. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped us pour into our community one plate at a time.

✨ Day 7 of May Week 2026: Line Dancing & Community Connection ✨

Friday night was nothing short of a vibe! We enjoyed an amazing evening of line dancing with Cecelia Harris at the York Elks Lodge 💃🏽✨

From 6 PM to 9 PM, sorors and guests came together for music, movement, and pure joy. A special thank you to everyone who came out and helped create such an energetic and welcoming atmosphere. ❤️

Cost, laughter, and community all came together in the best way — reminding us again of the power of fellowship beyond service.

Although yesterday’s planned event was unfortunately canceled due to the weather, our May Week Committee still found a way to gather in sisterhood and community at Men In the Kitchen! ❤️🖤

Even in unexpected moments, the bond of sisterhood continues to shine. We enjoyed fellowship, laughter, and the opportunity to support a small local business within our community. Thank you to the sorors who came out looking amazing and making the most of the evening together! ✨🤩
