York County Quick Response Team Formed in November 2002 to provide assistance to local law enforcement agencies in the management and resolution of special threats and high-risk incidents

The York County Quick Response Team (YCQRT) was formed in November 2002 to provide assistance to local law enforcement agencies in the management and resolution of special threats and high-risk incidents. The team is currently comprised of over 40 sworn law enforcement officers from various agencies including York City, Springettsbury Twp., York Area Regional, Spring Garden Twp, Northeastern Regio

nal, Newberry Twp, West Manheim, West York, Southern Regional, West Manchester Twp, Penn Twp and the York County Sheriffs Office and five civilians medics. These departments are united under mutual aid agreements to maximize available resources for response to incidents in a rapid and effective manner. Often, these types of response details can place a financial burden on the departments represented and/or the jurisdiction in which the call for assistance was initially generated.
