Celebrate York River Month at Goodrich Park!
Come learn, get outside, and help restore native habitat at scenic Goodrich Park.
York Parks and Recreation and the York Conservation Commission are working to manage invasive plants and restore approximately 5 acres surrounding the Grant House. Now we need your help!
Join us for a hands-on invasive plant removal workday:
Friday, September 11 or Friday, September 18
9–9:30 AM: Optional orientation to learn the common invasive plants
9:30 AM–Noon: Help cut and haul invasive plants for chipping
No experience necessary. Participants must be able to walk on uneven terrain.
Bring water, sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants and sleeves, and gloves if you have them. Tools and work gloves provided.
Please be aware that poison ivy and ticks are prevalent.
