ingness to work to amend Pennsylvania laws to eliminate animal cruelty within the Commonwealth. It is also dedicated to encouraging everyone who cares about animals to get involved in getting to know their legislators. This is a page for Pennsylvania supporters of Humane PA PAC and is here for every animal lover, group, shelter or rescue in Pennsylvania. We ask that posts stay related to the topic of animal welfare legislation in Pennsylvania as well as discussions about legislators and political strategy. Pennsylvania attorneys - since you follow Humane PA, we know that legal issues affecting animals matter to you. Timely Topics in Animal Law 2026 is a great way to earn CLE credits while learning more about the issues shaping animal protection in Pennsylvania, including legislative developments, wildlife issues, and challenges to farmed-animal legislation.
We’re especially proud that Humane PA President Elissa B. Katz, Esq. is one of the course planners for this year’s program.

We’re grateful to Senator Carolyn Comitta for her continued leadership on the Beagle Bill and for writing a powerful PennLive opinion piece calling on the Pennsylvania House to bring it to a vote. This bipartisan legislation passed the Senate unanimously. Now it’s time for the House to act. 🐶

BIG WIN FOR PUPPIES! 🐶🎉 Delaware is the 10th state to prohibit the sale of puppies in pet stores! That means 20% of the country has now acted to shut down the puppy mill-to-pet-store pipeline. Pennsylvania should be #11. It’s time to pass Victoria’s Law. ❤️🐾

Pets are not commodities. And now 10 states have made it illegal to sell puppy mill puppies in pet stores.
