New Birth of Freedom Urban program

New Birth of Freedom Urban program Cub Scout program for boys in 1st-5th grade in York city schools and Harrisburg city schools.

York and Harrisburg city programs offers boys in grades 1st-5th the opportunity to participate in cub scouts in an after school setting. While involved in cub scouts boys will have the chance to earn badges, learn life lessons, and just have FUN! Scouts also have the ability to participate in activities outside of the school settings, some of those include summer camp, Halloween days, scouting for food, pinewood derby and others to come!

We are saddened to share the news that former Keystone Area Council President Joseph M. Hummer, Sr., 80, passed away on Thursday, March 15.

Joe was a strong supporter of Scouting for many years. His long Scouting career included service as President of the Keystone Area Council from 2006-08 and his outstanding contributions to Scouting and his community were recognized with the Silver Beaver Award in 2005, the highest honor that a local council can award.

A memorial service for Joe will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 24 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 130 Nittany Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with visitation from 10 AM to 12 noon.
