Over the last decade, volunteers have helped shaped the Trail Challenge into the community event we hold so dearly today! Like so much of the work we do here at Mount A, we do it better together! Please consider joining us on Saturday the 19th. We promise there will be snacks! Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0B44A5AC29A4FC1-64970649-volunteer #/

Rocky Road boardwalk project is underway! Our crew spent this week reconstructing a 70-foot boardwalk on Rocky Road Trail. This is our second longest boardwalk, and will soon be our longest with a curve! Boardwalks and bridges help protect sensitive habitats like our vernal pools. 🌱🐍🐢 We're excited to wrap this one up next week!

We enjoyed a beautiful (though slightly buggy and muggy) full moon hike to the summit last night. Thanks to everyone who joined us on our last hike of the summer, and thanks especially to Hilary for sharing this great capture of our guiding light! Keep an eye on our website for more guided opportunities this fall. We have a lot of fun hikes planned for November, especially!

Help us celebrate 10 years of the Trail Challenge!

Run, walk, roll or stroll through either our 1 Mile or 5K course starting at the summit of Mount Agamenticus. This challenge is timed the good ol’ fashioned way with stop watches, thanks to our local York Highschool Cross Country Team. There are no traditional age category prizes, but there will be a raffle for all participants!

As always, all funds raised go right back into Mount A conservation & education efforts. Thank you for a DECADE of continued support!

We still have a few spots for next week's Wild Wonders here at Mount A!

This is a gentle outdoor morning day camp for ages 5-7 to explore, observe, create and so much more. We'll play, hike, and build on our skills each day, all in the beautiful surroundings of our First Hill Trails!

Registration is available at yorkparksandrec.org. Please e-mail [email protected] if you have any questions.
