York Village Maine

York Village Maine Located in the heart of The York's on the scenic Maine Coast, historic York Village is a town of historic buildings, unique shops, and a vibrant art scene.

Located in the heart of The Yorks, on the scenic Maine Coast, historic York Village is a town of historic buildings, boutique shopping, art galleries, and fine dining. Founded in 1631, York was the shire town, serving as the provincial capital for the area. York Village now integrates elements of its nearly four centuries of history. The Village is home to the Museums of Old York, including the or

iginal Old Gaol (Old Jail, built in 1719). The Village would not be complete without our cherished York Harbor and Marina. Recognized as one of Maine’s loveliest and least-crowded seaside resorts, the harbor escaped the commercialization that altered some of Maine’s better-known oceanfront resorts. Most importantly, though, York Harbor & Village is a year-round four season destination that allows you to enjoy the New England seaside when all the other summer resorts have closed.
