Happy 4th of July! I'm sorry to say that the Short Sands Beach fireworks have been postponed until next Saturday July 12th due to predicted rain and rough surf. The York Harbor Reading Room fireworks are scheduled to go off as planned at dusk this Saturday, July 5, at York Harbor Beach. Be safe tonight, everyone!

YORK, Maine — While vacationing in York Beach for the past two weeks, Texas residents Joe and Jeanmarie Beno brought a complaint to York police saying Rivers by the Sea took their $1,200 rental deposit and pushed to get the remaining $4,100 for a cottage that was no longer available.
