Mayor’s Clean Up 🧹🌱

Spring is here and it’s time to clean things up. The Mayor’s Clean Up is on Saturday, April 18 with the City of Yonkers Department of Public Works, Yonkers Parks and Teamsters Local 456.

📌 Bulk pick up will take place across the City from 6AM to 12PM, appointment only, 1 metal and 1 nonmetal item allowed
📌 Yonkers Parks will be cleaning up various locations around the City

All Yonkers Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Central Office will be open. Please continue to stay home, stay safe, and monitor the district website and social media platforms for updates.

Parking Update 📢

Alternate side street parking is suspended Friday, February 6 through Sunday, February 8.

Meters remain in effect. Alternate side parking rules resume Monday, February 9.

🚗 Parking Update

Alternate side street parking is suspended tomorrow, Tuesday, February 3, except on Bronx River Road.

City crews will use this time for snow removal on Bronx River Road.

PARKING ALERT - PLEASE READ 🚗❄️

As the City transitions from storm response to cleanup operations, all vehicles must be removed from the temporary alternate parking locations as soon as possible.

To allow crews to safely restore and reopen these facilities, any vehicles remaining in these locations by 6pm this evening (1/28/26) will be subject to towing. This step is necessary for these establishments to resume their operations and return to normal use.

We appreciate the public’s cooperation and understanding as crews continue post-storm work across the city.

2. Nepperhan Community Center Parking Lot - 342 Warburton Avenue
3. Trevor Park Parking Lot - 511 Warburton Avenue (adjacent to Hudson River Museum)

5. Buena Vista Garage - 20 Buena Vista Avenue
6. Government Center Garage - 118 New Main Street
7. Grinton I. Will Library - 1500 Central Park Avenue
8. Chicken Island Lot - 23 John Street

Yonkers Public Schools:
1. Lincoln High School (Student Lot) - 375 Kneeland Avenue
2. Museum School 25 - 579 Warburton Avenue
3. School 9 - 53 Fairview Street
4. Pearls Hawthorne School - 350 Hawthorne Avenue
