Patrons with an interest can join the TRL Board of Trustees Special Meeting at 4:30-5:30 pm today by either locating the posting on the Timberland Library's Events page or by following the link provided below;

Once in this tab, clicking on the "AV Capture" link will lead you to a hub with zoom meeting postings. Once you click on todays meeting, you can scroll down to the meeting agenda where "Join Zoom Meeting" is highlighted.

The American Library Association has announced the fourth and final round of recipients of its Libraries Transforming Communities (LTC): Accessible Small and Rural Communities grant, an initiative to help small and rural libraries increase the accessibility of facilities, services and programs to better serve people with disabilities.

The 300 funded proposals represent 46 U.S. states and the Northern Mariana Islands. Of the selected libraries, 73% serve communities with populations of 5,000 or fewer. 50 libraries will receive grants of $20,000, and 250 libraries will receive grants of $10,000.

“This initiative has been a catalyst for ongoing disability access," said ALA President Sam Helmick. "It will continue to teach nearly 900 library workers the fundamentals of accessibility and guiding improvements to their library’s services across the board and will continue to do so for years to come.”

Support the Friends of the Yelm Library by getting books, movies and more! Proceeds from this event are used to fund programs such as Teen Wednesdays, Yoga, guest speakers, and so much more!
