The Brunch Bunch is now the LUNCH BUNCH and meets on the first WEDNESDAY of the month from 12 noon–2 pm. The Lunch Bunch explores local and nearby restaurants and builds community through sharing food. Join us on July 1 at the Golden Lamb, 27 S. Broadway in Lebanon. Caroline will accompany the group for lunch then shopping at Peddler’s Mall. Meet at 11 am at the John Bryan Center parking lot to carpool. Minimum of 6; max of 11. The The Beloved Community Project of Yellow Springs’s Monthly Meal is the third Saturday from noon–2 pm. The local Beloved Community Project offers a free community meal the third Saturday of each month, noon–2 pm, at the First Presbyterian Church. In addition to healthy homemade food, the gathering provides a grocery table for guests to help themselves and take items home. There is no charge and no residency or need requirement, all are invited and welcome. The Beloved Community Project, Inc, is an independent, nonprofit, nondenominational group committed to social justice and the benevolence of the Yellow Springs community. Donations are welcome.

DOROTHY LANE MARKET MONTHLY TRIP – Thursday, June 25, 10 am–noon – The Senior Center is offering monthly trips to Dorothy Lane Market on Thursday, May 28 (the 4th Thursday) from 10 am–noon. Meet driver Mark Delozier at the John Bryan Center parking lot at 10 am for these monthly grocery outings and up to 11 people can ride in the transit van ($5 suggested donation). These are grocery trips only; plan to have an hour to shop and return to the village around noon. Participants must register with Maggie at 937-767-5751 or [email protected] a week in advance.

VILLAGE VOICES – On Thursday, June 18 from 7–9 pm Scott Sanders, Antioch College Archivist, will present “Obscene in the Extreme: The Banning of The Grapes of Wrath.” Monthly guests share their expertise and knowledge with the community.

The Senior Center is raffling off a car! The YSSC Transportation Department’s 2017 Prius V with 60K Miles. Raffle tickets are $100 each and only 200 will be sold. Tickets can be purchased at the Senior Center. The drawing will be held at Fall Street Fair on October 10 (if there are unsold tickets the raffle will be extended). Winner does not have to be present. Proceeds benefit the Senior Center.

CALL FOR ARTISTS FOR 2027 – The art committee is looking for visual artists who would like to be considered for a show in 2027. Artists must be 55 or older, be a current member of the Yellow Springs Senior Center or join the YSSC prior to exhibiting. Interested artists should fill out an artist application and return it to the Senior Center by August 31, 2026. Applications are in the Fireplace Room and on the website at https://www.ysseniors.org/art.html.
