Wildlife Wednesday here in Yarnell and a common sighting of mule deer 🦌. You can expect to see them on trail from time to time as they graze the side of the Weaver Mountain range ⛰️.
One of the defining characters of the mule deer are the large ears that resemble a mules ears, as well they have a dark colored fur on their forehead. Commonly mistaken for the white tailed deer, another easy way to spot the difference is the tail end. Mule deer have a thin rope like tail with lots of visible white on the rump. Where a white tail will have a triangular tail with white only on the underside of the tail.
