A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who spent their Day of Caring helping Pathways Shelter for the Homeless with "Brushes for a Better Beginning!"

By picking up paintbrushes and donating their time, these volunteers helped refresh and brighten the shelter, creating a more welcoming space for individuals and families working toward a fresh start.

Yesterday, our Board of Directors and staff came together for a strategic planning session focused on five key areas: Community Leadership, Equitable Community Impact, Brand Strength, Diversifying Revenue, and a Strong Organizational Foundation.

This process is about ensuring United Way remains a strong, sustainable, and trusted community partner; one that can continue addressing local needs, supporting nonprofits, mobilizing volunteers, and investing in solutions that improve lives across the Greater Yankton area.

The result will be a roadmap that guides our work and strengthens our impact for years to come.

Thank you to our donors, volunteers, partner agencies, board members, and community partners who make this work possible. A special shoutout to Shannon Viereck with Planning & Development District III for keeping us on track and guiding the afternoon's discussions, and a sincere thank you to Mount Marty University for allowing us to use their facilities!
