NOTICE TO YAKUTAT RESIDENTS: Please be advised of an emergency water shut-off, primarily affecting properties along Mallott and Yakutat Avenues, including the Tongass Federal Credit Union, Yakutat Seafoods Hall, Yakutat Seafoods Plant, and the residences of James Nelson and others on the hill, as well as Candy Hills and Billy Brown. The shut-off is scheduled for tomorrow, August 12th, at 1 pm and is expected to last approximately 2 hours. Your cooperation is appreciated.

From Department of Parks and Recreation:

A bicycle at the head of the Totem Trail across from the Yakutat harbor restroom. It’s been there for a few days. Maybe staged or maybe stolen? Does anyone know who it belongs to? If you recognize it as yours please come pick it up. We prefer not to have personal equipment stored within the road right of way, parks, or trail system. Thank you.

SAFETY NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC: The CBY Road Crew is in the process of cutting brush in the road right-of-ways through Yakutat neighborhoods. Please stay away from the Brusher and keep kids and pets away from it. Do not stand near or approach heavy equipment actively cutting brush. The Brusher will be out on the roads through the end of July; CBY would appreciate your help keeping the public, kids, and pets safe during this necessary road maintenance project.
