OBJECTIVES:
Provide a means for bilingual students to learn medical terminology in English and Spanish
Identify and explain main functions of the organs and structures of the body systems
Provide the basic principles of medical word building (English/Spanish) by defining the word roots/combining forms used to describe the body organs, structures, surgery, medical procedures, diagnostic tests, pharmacology
Learn suffixes / prefixes related to medical words, AND build / analyze / understand the meaning of new medical words
Utilize medical websites and encyclopedias for research, and learn the correct spelling / pronunciation of medical terms
