A big congratulations to our Nob Hill student who won a special ride to school with the firefighters after completing their fire safety homework! 🚒👏

E92 (Cpt C. Williams, FF Belza, FF Charlet) were invited to Wonderland Pre-School last week to interact with the kids and let them spray some water. Thank you Wonderland for having us out. The crew enjoyed all the questions and stories.

Your Yakima Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team was out training today on Confined Space Rescue. This a very specialized type of rescue that takes unique equipment as well as a unique skill set. Thank you Yakima Training Center Fire Department for being a part of the Technical Rescue Team and for drilling with us today.

A big Shout out to Stone Church Volunteers and Austin at Russel Crane for giving up your Saturday to assist with the dry scape project at Sta 93. 25 adults and 8 Children along with our Department Mechanic Darin Deccio laid down w**d block, installed a drip system, planted 20 plants, and spread rock!!!!

E92 (Lt Nishida, FF Albrecht, FF Orthman) paid a visit to Wide Hollow Elementary today to teach the new fire prevention curriculum to the 2nd graders. The students retention of the material was impressive. Thank you Wide Hollow for welcoming us into your classrooms!!!
