Jake was nominated by his director for doing an incredible job and being someone who truly deserves recognition. Having been with Greene County for 11 months, he has already made a meaningful impact—and we are SO excited to have him as part of our team!

💬 What inspired you to work for the county?
"What inspired me to work for the county was wanting to do more for my community. I have always thought community is extremely important and it has been transformative being here for this past year and having the opportunity to do meaningful work with an amazing team."

💬 What do you enjoy most about your role?
"I enjoy having a direct impact on the community that I grew up in. It makes work a lot more enjoyable and significant having a personal connection with who I work for."

💬 What’s a moment that made you proud of the work you do?
"It makes me really proud knowing that I get to work with a really incredible group of people. I take a lot of pride in making sure I do my part every day so we can reach our common goal."

💬 What do you wish members of the community knew about the department you work for?

Amazing!!! Congrats, Elise!

The Greene County Archives is proud to announce that Digital Archivist Elise Kelly has been selected as a member of the 2026 Library Leadership Ohio cohort!

Members of the cohort are selected for "outstanding leadership potential, collaborative spirit, and deep commitment to the profession" and participate in sessions to refine their leadership skills.

Elise is a dedicated member of the Greene County team, providing her leadership not only to local digital preservation but also to state partners through the Ohio Electronic Records Commission and even national partners through webinars provided for the National Association of Government Archivists and Records Administrators.

Please join us in congratulating Elise on her selection for this prestigious program!
